Our mission at Paws and Effect is to promote and develop canine assistance to individuals and organizations in the community.

                   

      

Paws and Effect, Inc. is a non profit 501(c)3 organization that provides assistance dogs to people in the community. We create service dog teams for people with disabilities (other than blindness), students with reading disabilities, and the elderly in retirement homes to name a few. The dogs are primarily trained by at risk teens and other youth, and they not only allow the  person with the disability to live life in their community independently, they also provide an emotional connection and companionship to help improve quality of life.This bond gives not only to the person with the disability, but also to the teen-aged trainer. Participants in our dog training program gain a sense of purpose, accomplishment, and self-respect by helping a dog help others.
